Duncan Foster is an Award Winning RIBA Chartered Architect, committed to creating bespoke, contemporary, well-crafted architecture which is inspired by its context and informed by the clients’ brief.
Described by ‘The Modern House’ -the UK’s lexion of modern design as ‘ a practice putting out contemporary homes across the country , defined by their clean elevations and contemporary feeling interiors ‘
Prior to establishing the practice in 2003, Duncan was the design architect with AFM architects working for Urban Splash on the £10m redevelopment of the ‘Brewhouse’ Building in the Royal William Yard in Plymouth. The project was awarded an RIBA regional award and a Housing Design Award.
Duncan was nominated for both RIBA presidents Silver and Bronze Medals, and obtained a 1st Class Honours Degree whilst at University. He qualified in 1998, and went on to work in several award winning practices specialising in high end private residential work on a range of projects from £100k to £10m in value.
As a sole practitioner Duncan is now involved in projects ranging in value from £250k to £2m. The majority of the practice’s work is in London and the Home Counties, although his work includes projects in Devon , Cornwall , Wales and the Cotswolds.
